The Southampton Billiards League Jim Watts Memorial Billiards Doubles Championship has been won by Curdridge’s Derek Fry and Brian Bull (receive plus 80), after they beat current champions Tony Aldridge and Lee Fitzpatrick (receive plus 60) in the final at Chandlers Ford Central.

In the semi-final, Fry and Bull beat Churchill’s Eastleigh pairing Paul Adams and Dave Baker (receive minus 30) in the first to 200 points handicap format, with holders Aldridge and Fitzpatrick overcoming Park Gate’s Steve Boterhoek and Chris Christodoulou (receive plus 60) in the other semi-final.

Curdridge’s Fry had a fantastic season winning three trophies, as his team won the Usher Team Handicap Billiards Cup and individually he won the Stuart Hamper Memorial Individual Handicap Billiards Challenge for the third time in four years, to go with the doubles prize.
