Steve Hulbert 177 - 200 Robin Smith

Rob got the game underway after losing the string-off, as he did in the semi, Steve got off to a flyer with a break of 17 to put the early pressure on but Rob kept him at bay with some consistent scoring, with the scores on 135-86 Steve ran in a superb 28 break consisting of some fine hazards. Rob again seems unfazed as he pushes on to extend his lead once more. With the scores moving from 159-133 and then 170-146 the chances seemed to be running out for Steve, Rob managed his lead well to keep a 20 point buffer and eventually ran out a 200-177 winner. Congratulations to Robin as he claimed his second trophy this season and huge thanks go to Mike Henstredge and Tony Aldridge for refereeing.

Brian Bull 199 - 200 Robin Smith

The Curdridge duo started the match with just 5 points separating them as they put their friendship aside for the next hour, the handicaps suggested this one would be a close encounter and so it was. Both players made good scoring visits at crucial points of the match with Rob pushing ahead late on, Brian pulled it back to put pressure on Rob with a late all red 15 break, with the scores at 197-198 in Robin's favour Brian got the first chance to seal it but could only make 2 to leave himself agonisingly short of the line and leaving Rob the chance to run out victorious.

Rob Shattock 200 - 200 Steve Hulbert

Steve started the match well with a 19 break to settle any early nerves and clawed back his handicap to get on level terms at 128-128, from here on the match swung narrowly into each others favour but without being able to push on they found themselves level on numerous occasions and again at 192-192! Steve made a composed 9 to run out to reach his first final and move a step closer to adding to an already great season.
